About us
Our timeline starts with a desktop slide production service bureau in San Francisco in the 80s. Back in the day, a slide was part of a roll of 35mm E-6 film that had to be processed in a photo lab.
Since then, we’ve worked on tens of thousands of slides.
A lot of presentations.
So we have some ideas about what makes one work.
By now, almost everyone who uses business applications can use PowerPoint and Google Slides.
But if knowing how to make slides was enough to create truly effective communications, why are there so many presentations that just don’t work?
And why do so many people HATE presentations?
Our answer:
It’s the lack of design thinking that makes people “hate PowerPoint”.
Specifically, strategic presentation design thinking.
Great presentations are so much more than just good-looking slides. Strong visuals are definitely part of the picture. But equally important are the other aspects of communication design: insightful messages, storytelling, cognitive neuroscience, instructional design wisdom, and just plain old strategy. Creating truly powerful fit-for-purpose decks that connect with –and move–their viewers means covering all the angles.
